A corner sofa in your room
Whether you’re a sprawler-outer or a curler-upper, settling into a Sofa Magic corner sofa is a real treat.
And besides being really comfy, corner sofas are a smart solution to a host of design dilemmas.
- Where space is limited, you can use a corner sofa to maximise the seating area without the room feeling crowded by too much furniture.
- In open plan rooms, they can be used to define zones. Light, airy open-plan interiors are the essence of contemporary living but, without zones, these spaces can be confusing and stressful. A corner unit can divide areas to create order and accentuate the fun, ease and comfort of open plan living.
A corner sofa is the perfect sofa whether your room is big or ‘compact and bijou’.
Custom made just for you
As sofa experts, we specialise in making unique furniture for your home. There are simple ways to achieve big differences in style and size. Here are a few…
Cushioned back
Deliciously plump back cushions to squidge into. They can be made taller to provide more back support. Or, kept low for a more contemporary look.
Guide overall front to back measurement: 95cm. (This can be adjusted.)
Upholstered back
Plush upholstery on the back removes the need for back cushions and means we can reduce the seat depth. This means the front-to-back measurement of the sofa is less - particularly helpful where space is a premium.
Guide overall front to back measurement: 84cm. (This can be adjusted.)
With arms
Arms can be skinny or wide, high or low. What are the consequences?
- Wide arms take up more space but balance the proportions of long sofas. If you’ve got the space, they are deliciously indulgent.
- Narrow arms look stylish, neat and contained and provide support without using space.
- Low arms are more comfortable to rest your arm on, or even your head if you plan to lie out on the sofa.
- High arms are cosy and enveloping – and can be used to create a pleasingly level contour along the top of sofa.
Square arm corner sofa as shown, each arm is 20cm wide. (This can be adjusted.)
Open ended
On one end (or even both) you may prefer not to have an arm. This can save space and/or create a chaise longue effect.
Sofabeds
Need an occasional bed? Have a sofabed mechanism built into your corner sofa. We only use beech slat bases with interior sprung mattresses. They are sturdy and comfy but there are some restrictions on the dimensions of the sofa.
Minimum front to back measurement is 95cm.
The mechanisms are available in different widths: 100cm, 120cm, 140cm and 150cm.
